It's not just about what you say, but how you say it.Learners of English might have all the vocabulary, grammar, formality, and phrases, but still not sound quite right in conversation.
This may be because they're not organising their sentences into the correct intonation units, and putting the right stress and pauses into their speech. This lesson looks at some of the techniques that students can use to sound better when they speak.

We are currently writing a new course for Grade 9 students at a B1 level, to be released later in 2017. This has been a common request from teachers for a while, and we're happy to be finally working on giving B1 students their own course.
As an early gift, here is a sample lesson covering international food, and the difference between the simple past and present perfect tenses.
Please take a look, try it out, and tell us what you like and what could be better. All feedback will contribute towards making the course as relevant to what students need! Watch this space for more B1 lessons over the next few months!
